Playing with Senegalese drummers led by Djiby Faye. I waited for this moment for years... for the opportunity to play together with Senegalese drummers but this time with my modern Senegalese drum set. This short video is a part of a one hour long session.
We played many rhythms and compositions. The chemistry and telepathy were absolute and fluent... I share a huge amount of respect to the people who hosted me like this in their home, taking the time to play together and most important to get their approval / appreciation for my modern take on their tradition.
